Product Introduction:
Red blood cell lysis buffer is a solution used to lyse and remove enucleated red blood cells from blood or tissue samples derived from humans, mice, and other species.
This red blood cell lysis buffer is ready-to-use and can be employed to lyse red blood cells from mammalian peripheral blood or bone marrow cells after staining with fluorescently labeled antibodies, eliminating the need for washing and enabling direct flow cytometric analysis.
This lysis buffer contains a fixative; after treatment with this product, the morphology of leukocytes remains unchanged, and the samples may be either washed or left unwashed.
This lysis buffer is not suitable for lysing nucleated red blood cells, such as those found in birds or other avian species.

Store at room temperature; valid for one year. Transport at ambient temperature.
Instructions:
1. Use a flow cytometer to collect 100 μl of the mixed anticoagulated blood.
2. Incubate the antibodies according to the staining protocol for flow cytometry.
3. Add 500 μl of red blood cell lysis buffer and vortex to mix thoroughly.
4. Incubate at room temperature in the dark for 10 minutes.
5. Perform analysis on a flow cytometer. If immediate analysis is not possible, store the sample protected from light at 4°C and analyze within 24 hours.

Precautions:
1. This product contains formaldehyde, which is harmful if inhaled, upon skin contact, or accidentally swallowed. It is irritating to the eyes and skin. Exposure may be carcinogenic and could cause irreversible harm. Skin contact may trigger allergic reactions.
2. This product is unable to lyse nucleated red blood cells, such as those found in birds and other avian species, as well as in the blood samples of patients with certain hematological disorders, including sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, and spherocytosis.
3. For your safety and health, please wear appropriate protective gear, such as lab coats, gloves, and masks.
