Product Information
Streptavidin binds to biotin with high affinity. Streptavidin-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) is useful for detecting biotinylated antibodies. The excitation of FITC by 488 nm laser light induces a light emission maximum of520 nm.

Instructions for Use
Example of flow cytometric antibody staining on the cell surface
1. Resuspend the prepared cells (5–10 × 10^5 cells/tube) in 100 μL of cell staining buffer.
2. Add 0.25–0.5 μg of biotin‑labeled antibody to each tube, gently mix, and incubate in the dark on ice for 15–20 minutes.
3. Wash once with 1 mL of cell staining buffer, then resuspend the cells in 100 µL of cell staining buffer.
4. Add 1 μL (0.5 μg) of FITC‑streptavidin to each tube and incubate in the dark on ice for 20 minutes.
5. Wash once with 1 mL of cell staining buffer.
6. Resuspend the cells in 300–500 μL of cell staining buffer and perform the assay promptly. If immediate analysis is not possible, store protected from light at 4°C and complete the assay within 4 hours.
Precautions
Before use, briefly centrifuge to recover droplets adhering to the tube walls.
During use, avoid exposure to light.
This product is intended for research use only and is not to be used for in vitro diagnostic purposes.

Human peripheral blood lymphocytes stained with CD8a biotin, followed by SAv-FITC.
